How to achieve flawless skin

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look - BeforeAs you can see I am not blessed with great skin! I have very uneven skin tone, occasional dark circles, fine lines, small scars and suffer from redness around my nose and chin area. I also have combination skin – normal on my cheek areas but oily on my T-zone.

Following the steps below will show you how to cover all of the above:

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look. Dab 3 or 4 dots under you eye and blend Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look. Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin, ensuring you have removed all previous make-up.

If you suffer from very bad dark circles, use a purple-based concealer, which cuts through yellow tones. Then proceed to the next step. Recommended product: Fero purple concealer available at www.ferobeauty.com).

Apply a light reflecting concealer under your eyes. Dab 3 or 4 dots under you eye and blend in using your finger or brush (usually comes as part of the product). You can also apply this to any other areas where you may have fine lines (such as corners of the mouth) or if you have slight blemishes. Always choose a concealer in a shade that is either exactly the same colour as your skin or a shade lighter – never darker! Recommended product: YSL Touche Eclat. Budget Product: L’Oreal Touche Magique.

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look. If you suffer from redness use a green concealer. Dab a small amount onto the required areas and blend in using your finger. Recommended product: Fero Green Concealer (available at www.ferobeauty.com)

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look - For Scars. For scars, I recommend using Vichy Dermablend High Corrective Foundation. Warm up the product in your fingers and dab onto the area and blend in using your fingers. Apply Vichy Dermablend fixing powder over the top.

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look. Choosing the right foundation can be tricky. For oily skins, choose a water based liquid foundation or a powder one such as Benefit’s Hello Flawless. For dry skin or mature skin choose a liquid foundation that adds more moisture to the skin such as Clinique’s Perfectly Real foundation. Test the shade on your jawline – not on your hand. You should choose a shade that is exactly the same colour as your skin tone. If you want to add more warmth to your skin you can do this by using bronzer / blusher later.

Apply your foundation using a brush blending it in as you go. Take care not to create a line around your jaw and blend well into your neck.

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look - translucent powder over the top of your foundation Use a translucent powder over the top of your foundation to complete the look. If you have oily skin apply all over. For combination apply just to the T-zone. For very dry skin you may want to avoid this stage altogether. Recommended product: Clinique Translucent powder.

Wedding Makeup, Flawless skin look -Dust Bronzer or blusher over your cheeks, nose and chin Dust bronzer or blusher over your cheeks, nose and chin to add warmth. To hold your flawless skin in place, use a fixing spray such as Clarins Fit It Spray all over your face. Then apply the rest of your make-up.
